The primary focus of my work was homefinding, and this involved interviewing, screening, informing, and training prospective foster and adoptive families. There were many heartbreaking, frustrating situations, but there were many with a positive outcome.

Since retiring I have been volunteering for the Beatrix Farrand Garden Association, helping to maintain a privately commissioned garden, Bellefield, in Hyde Park. This garden is under the umbrella of the National Parks Service, and is open to the public.
